PNP says they are monitoring partisan armed groups in EV

CAMP RUPERTO KANGLEON, Palo, Leyte - A top police official in the region said that they are monitoring several partisan armed groups that are operating in the region.

Senior Supt. Manuel Cubillo, chief of the police community relations of the PNP-8, said those so-called partisan armed groups include those being maintained by some “civilians” and some members of the New People’s Army. 

Cubillo said that the monitoring of those partisan armed groups is to ensure that no incident will happen in the region like what happened in Maguindanao and that there will be a peaceful elections in 2010.
